Relief Project Worker

YMCA Glasgow require Relief Project Workers for various locations throughout Scotland.

As a member of the relief staff team you will be required to work with limited notice in order to assist in the provision of a high quality residential services to meet the needs of the clients.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager and through him/ her to the Area Manager and ultimately the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors, you will be responsible for:

* Assisting in the key worker function for a number of residents

* Accurately record financial transactions

* Establish and maintain effective internal/ external channels of communication

* Develop and maintain good working relationships with other team members

* Actively participate in regular staff team meetings

* Assist in the planning, implementation, development and recording of programme activities

* Accurately record matters relating to clients and report as appropriate

* Provide appropriate level of support for service users, in an efficient, courteous, cost effective and  sensitive manner

* Comply with Health and Safety Legislation

* Follow YMCA Glasgow Equal Opportunities Policy and be aware of the need to challenge discrimination

With a positive and non-judgemental approach to your work, it is essential that you have experience of crisis work with vulnerable service users and a knowledge of current homelessness policies. Relevant qualifications (First Aid or Counselling Skills in Drugs and Alcohol) are desirable, however, this is not essential.
